Spit and Sawdust – Elephant and Castle
The building has been keeping people refreshed since 1856. In its everlasting pursuit to serve drinks, this indestructible piece of architecture survived two bombings in the Blitz of WWII.
In August 2016 Matt, Andy and Sean got the keys to the premises and closed up shop for a refurb. Like an ugly caterpillar metamorphosing into a beautiful butterfly, the pub reopened in September as the Spit and Sawdust, a traditional London Boozer with a contemporary twist.
The Beer selection boasting the biggest in Elephant and Castle with 20 lines in total and a heavy focus on the Craft Beer market. Keeping things craft and independent Spit & Sawdust also offers a wide selection of delicious pies and artisan stone baked Barrel & Stone pizzas.
