https://www.chequersonthegreen.com/Located in the lovely old village of High Halden, which is recorded in the Domesday Book, the Chequers on the Green (formerly “The Chequers”) is Grade II listed, with some parts dating back to medieval times. There has been an inn on the site since 1442.

It is said that some of the oak beams and floors upstairs are actually from old galleons. Back in the mid 18th century, it was frequented by local gangs and smugglers. They have added Barrel and Stone pizzas to their menu. Delicious stone baked pizza cooked using authentic Italian ingredients.
